Mine does...and he likes it! ;)
Quiche is an easy "go to" meal when you want something warm, tasty and filling using what you already have on hand.
I looked in the freezer and found some bags of 1 cup measured chopped ham (from Christmas), a deep dish pie crust (from Thanksgiving), and a bag of shredded low fat Swiss cheese. I grabbed can of spinach from the pantry and I had a great meal in the making!
Ham, Cheese and Spinach Quiche
- 1 - deep dish pie crust
- 1 cup chopped ham
- 1 cup shredded cheese (whatever you have on hand will do)
- 3/4 cup half and half (or milk of you don't have 1/2 and 1/2)
- 1/2 can spinach, well drained, patted dry and chopped
- 3 eggs
- 2 cloves garlic, pressed (or diced, I just don't like dicing garlic LOL)
- salt and pepper
Heat oven to 375 degrees.
Evenly distribute chopped ham in bottom of pie crust.
Whisk remaining ingredients in a mixing bowl and pour over the top of the ham.
Bake in oven for 45 min. Let sit for 15 min before cutting.
The leftovers are great for breakfast the next day!
Make and freeze before cooking for OAMC. Completely thaw and bake as instructed above.
